“Sound lights” explores the meeting points and exchanges between sound and light phenomena. By replacing a 2D oscilloscope with two 3D lasers, Edwin van der Heide encourages sounds to sculpt the space in which they are performed. Thomas McIntosh plays with the reflection of light on water which he makes vibrate using immersed loudspeakers. His palette contains icefields of light and organisms which multiply into infinity, as every sound finds both a luminous and organic form of expression. Sought-after graphic designers by day and accursed artists by night, Troika’s obscure side is on display at the Exit festival.
