Description

I just published an history book about the Templars. So I'd love to share my knowledge, and show people how real story is far much interesting than ludicrous legendes, fairy tales and fabricated stories about this medieval order.

Walking on the footsteps of the famous knights Templar in white mantle with red cross. This original itinerary will lead you from Square du Vert-Galant in Île de la Cité, where the Grand Master Jacques de Molay was burned on the pyre in Paris in 1314 by order of King Philip IV "the Fair", to Square du Temple, where the Templars had their Parisian headquarter and where they were arrested. You will feel their mysterious presence through ancient walls, strange doors, old streets, impressive mansions and churches, and evocative street name signs.

We will walk for 2 hours and 3 km, more or less. So good health and comfortable shoes are highly recommended.

The tragic fate of the Templars coincided with the rising of their legend. Fighting bravery, huge financial power, mysterious rituals, hidden treasure, unfair trials, cruel deaths, frightening curse... The Templars also left their marks in Square du Temple, Église Sainte-Élisabeth-de-Hongrie, Carreau du Temple, rue du Temple, Notre-Dame de Paris and Square du Vert galant. We will walk on their footsteps and you will finally understand the difference between facts and legends. I start with a 10 min speech to give you the big pictures, and then we begin the walking tour. During the tour, we can stop on a medieval street to sip a glass of wine or a soda (optional and not included in the price).
