Description

A neighbourhood caught between tradition & hipsters, Montorgueil is a relic of the old Les Halles food market (now relocated to Rungis).
The area revolves around the market itself, with its artisans & merchants :  butchers, bakers, fish mongers, florists... (even a candle stick maker).
The small winding streets next to the market are full of charm, with beautifully restored mansions dating from the 17th & 18th centuries, many of which are now Historic Monuments. Let me take you on a visit to discover these hidden gems, with their charming courtyards, carriage houses, cobbled streets...

Discover the charms of a typical Parisian market street - its merchants, its boutiques, its wonderful food.  You will visit one of the oldest markets in the city, with the possibility of food tastings if desired (extra cost).  See butchers at their trade, charming florists, artisanal cheese shops.  Sample fresh baked bread, designer pastries, farmer's cheese.  Visit the city's oldest pastry shop & sample their Baba au Rhum.
Discover the hidden gems in this residential neighbourhood - a place where real Parisians live, love & work.  Experience our daily lives, on one of the most charming streets in the centre of Paris.
Please note :  the market does not operate on Sunday afternoons or Mondays (all day) - it is therefore advisable to book this tour on other days of the week.
