It’s a day like no other!

Start your day in the Louvre, home to some of the world’s greatest masterpieces. Join your guide for a 1.5 hour tour of this amazing museum  - of course you will see the famous Mona Lisa, and learn her many secrets. Your guide will take you on a whirlwind tour of the most important works in this sumptuous museum. And don’t forget the Louvre was once a royal palace. You will be walking in the footsteps of Kings, Queens and Emperors!

After your visit, you have free time for lunch, and it’s a short stroll along the riverside to the charming island Ile de la Cité. Along the way you might like to stop and browse at some of the picturesque ‘bouquinistes’ or vintage booksellers, set up along the riverside. Then it’s time to meet your guide for a tour of some of the architectural gems of the city. Your first visit will be to the 850 year old Cathedral of Notre Dame. This gothic masterpiece is home to some of the largest rose windows in Europe, and also houses the relics of Christ’s crown of thorns. Your guide will lead you through the cathedral, revealing to you the stories of its construction and those of the colorful characters that make up its history, including of course the famous Hunchback! Climb the cathedral towers, see Quasimodo’s bell, and enjoy a birds-eye view of Paris, in the company of the iconic gargoyles!

You’ll also visit the Conciergerie, once a medieval palace, later a notorious revolutionary prison, and final home to Queen Marie Antoinette before she was taken to the guillotine. Your visit here will allow you a better understanding of the turmoil during this period in French history, as you learn of the prisoners kept here and see the conditions in which they lived. Your guide will then take you to the gem of gothic architecture, the spectacular Sainte Chapelle. Built in the 13th century, this tiny church is home to some of the most dazzling stained glass in the world. Skip the long lines and marvel at the glorious colors of the windows as your guide helps you read the fascinating stories laid out on them.

After this part of your tour is over, you might like to cross the river and visit Shakespeare and Company, famous bookstore and literary hangout, or explore the Latin Quarter. Then it’s a short stroll over to the tiny and irresistable Ile St Louis where you will board your boat for a cruise down the Seine river. Admire the many beautiful sites and monuments laid out along the UNESCO World Heritage listed river banks before arriving at your final destination of the day, the Eiffel Tower.

The iconic symbol of the city, no trip to Paris is complete without a climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Join your guide and skip the famously long lines with priority access to the second floor, from where you will enjoy a bird’s eye view across the city. Your guide will point out all the major sights laid out at your feet. Then climb to the very top of the tower -  it’s the perfect end to your day in Paris.
