Discover the heart of Paris in your own private group on this incredible 4.5-hour guided walking tour, including skip the line access to the towers of Notre Dame Cathedral, the spectacular stained glass of the Sainte Chapelle, and the final prison of Marie Antoinette - the Conciergerie. End your tour enjoying delicious French pastries in an incredible glazed panoramic restaurant offering breathtaking views over the city.

Your private small group will meet your personal guide for a fascinating walking tour of the Ile de la Cité, home to some of the most dazzling medieval architecture in the city, and including an exclusive French pastry tasting experience.

Begin your tour at Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the iconic symbols of Paris and a masterpiece of gothic architecture. Start by skipping the infamously long lines and climbing the towers for some of the very best views in Paris. Keep your eyes open for gargoyles and angels as you enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city below you. Your fully accredited local guide will then lead you through the interior of the cathedral, where you can admire the magnificent rose windows and view the relics of the crown of thorns. Outside, admire the incredible structure of the cathedral, and hear the stories of the real and imaginary figures that played their part in the history of this magnificent monument.

Then it’s a short stroll to the Sainte Chapelle, home to some of best-preserved and most breathtaking stained glass in the world. Built in the 13th century by the King Saint Louis, 80% of the walls are covered by remarkable colored glass windows. Once again you will skip the long entry lines, and your guide will teach you how to read the stories on these centuries old masterpieces, as you admire the astonishing multi-colored light flooding the chapel.

The day's last visit is to the Conciergerie, built as a medieval palace but most famous as the prison and last home of Queen Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution. See the cells where the prisoners were kept, including the cell where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned until she was taken to the guillotine in 1793. In 1815, King Louis XVIII turned it into a Chapel.

Enjoy strolling through the streets of this charming island with your guide, see one of the prettiest squares in Paris, and end your tour on the oldest bridge in the city. But there’s another treat in store for you, join us for a traditional French ‘goûter’, or tea time, on a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city. Savor delicate and delicious French pastries by renowned chefs such as Pierre Hermé. The fully glazed dining room offers amazing panoramic views over the river and down to the Louvre.
