With your local guide, you'll visit Château de Chambord and Château de Chenonceau, the must-see chateaux of the region. See what life was like for the French kings who once lived here as you learn their little secrets and hear funny anecdotes from your guide. Discover less-crowded spots with great views, and enjoy an intimate lunch at a private chateau still inhabited by the family who runs it - an off-the-beaten-path location where you can relax.

You will be picked-up in the early morning at your hotel in Paris and escorted to the train station by public transportation. As you will be shown to your seat on the TGV train, you'll also receive your return TGV train ticket, so you'll be ready to make your way back to Paris at the end of the day.

On the TGV train, relax for an hour or so and admire the beautiful countryside scenery on your way to the town of Tours. When you arrive, your guide for the day will be waiting for you on the train platform to board your minivan and take off to Loire Valley Châteaux. First stop will be Chateau de Chambord: more than a chateau, this work of French Renaissance art is a remarkable site in the heart of the Loire Valley. Enjoy a coffee break in the park, with the chateau right in front of your eyes, before passing the doors of this impressive site.
Your guide will select the most emblematic rooms to show you, share interesting anecdotes and point-out hidden details of interest to make you feel part of those royal days!

Then, carry on to the next place, to enjoy a lovely lunch at a lesser-known château. Hosted by the French countess who lives there permanently, this lunch break allows you to relax in the cozy atmosphere while you enjoy a meal of local dishes.

After this restful lunch break, away from the crowds, head to Château de Chenonceau. On the way, get a good look at all the beautiful landscapes of Loire Valley, your guide will drive you through lovely typical villages and reveal you more hidden private chateaux.  When you arrive at Chenonceau, one of the most visited historical private monuments in France, take in its unique construction on a bridge that spans the Cher River. With your guide, stroll through the manicured gardens à la Française, named after the famous ladies who have lived there, Catherine de Médicis and Diane de Poitiers. Take your time to appreciate the refined architecture and feminine influences that prevail in each room, all decorated with antiques and fresh flower arrangements.

Afterward, your guide will offer you to share a French aperitif with local products, served in a secret corner of the park where you can enjoy a striking view of Château de Chenonceau. Then return to the train station in Tours by 7.00pm to catch the TGV train back to Paris.
